MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:-
Presentation of weather shows “live” on television news
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:-
- Interpret weather maps for live television news broadcasts
- Alert and warn viewers about severe weather conditions
- Present weather reports “live” on television;
- Do live interviews with fellow presentors
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:-
- Undergraduate qualification in, journalism, media studies or related field
- Added advantage Meteorologist/Geography degree
- Good command of the first language
- Television presenting skills
- General knowledge of weather conditions/patterns
