Petroleum Agency SA is responsible for promoting and regulating the exploration and exploitation of oil and gas (petroleum) resources within the Republic both onshore and offshore on behalf of Government in terms of the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act. (There are ten (10) three year internship programs and two (2) permanent positions which are available. The Internship programme seeks to train the candidate for a term of 3 years.

Intern: Environmental Compliance [x1]
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management or Environmental Sciences. -
Intern: GIS Geoscientist [x1]
BSc Degree in Geology of Geophysics and/or Geographic Information Systems.

Intern: Licensing & Legal Compliance [x1]
LLB

Intern: Geologist/Geoscientist x2
An Honours Degree in Geology or Geophysics emphasis on petroleum and or sedimentology would be an advantage.

Intern: Technical Compliance [x1]
Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering / Chemical / Mechanical.

Intern: IT Desktop Support Technician [x1]
IT related qualification or A+ and N+ or MCP
