Bureau For Economic Research (BER) is inviting all applicants to South African unemployed graduates to apply for their ongoing Graduate / Internship Programme 2022 / 2024.
The Bureau For Economic Research (BER) at Stellebosch University and South African Reserve Bank (SARB) wish to announce the commencement of the recruitment for the 2024 Economist Internship Programme at the BER. The primary objective of the internship programme is to provide practical training to appropriately qualified graduates so that they are able to function as economists in private and/or public sector.
The Successful candidate will work alongside BER economist for one year to gain experience in all aspects of business oriented macroeconomics analysis. The successful candidates will be employed by the South African Reserve Bank but will spend the first year of employment at BER (the recruits will receive a competitive salary even during the internship.
- South African citizen
- Hold an Honours or Masters degree in Economics (by January 2024) with macro-economics as a subject at post-graduate level
- Be fluent in English
- Possess excellent communication and writing skills
